Suryakumar Yadav Successfully Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery
Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has successfully undergone surgery for a sports hernia in Munich, Germany. The 34-year-old cricketer is now in the recovery phase, eager to return to the field. His last appearance for India was in the T20I series against England in February.
Suryakumar Yadav confirmed the details of his surgery through a social media post, stating that he underwent the procedure for a sports hernia in his lower right abdomen. He expressed gratitude, sharing that the surgery went smoothly and that he is already on the road to recovery. "Can't wait to be back," he added.
The surgery follows Suryakumar Yadav's impressive performance in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL), where he displayed exceptional batting prowess for the Mumbai Indians. He amassed 717 runs in 16 innings, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. This showcases his importance to the team and exceptional talent on the field.
His last international match was during India's five-match T20I series against England, which concluded in early February. The timing of his surgery and subsequent recovery coincides with India's ongoing five-match Test series against England.
