Sharan Hegde, the entrepreneur behind The 1% Club and the popular YouTube channel ‘financewithsharan,’ recently announced that his YouTube account was compromised. The breach, revealed via his personal Instagram, led to unauthorized live streams featuring Bitcoin prices.

According to Hegde, the hackers initiated a live stream on his channel that displayed Bitcoin prices soaring to $100,000. He also stated that the hackers wiped the entire content of his YouTube channel. Fortunately, his content was later recovered.

In his post, Hegde recounted the incident: “The hacker took control of the account & started a live stream of Bitcoin prices reaching $100k - without my consent, of course. Within minutes, I got 100s of DMs from you guys informing me about the fact. Thank you so much for alerting me but unfortunately the channel got terminated & I didn't know what to do. My 3 years of hard work just disappeared right in front of my eyes.”
