Smriti Mandhana has carved her name into the history books of cricket, becoming the first Indian woman to achieve centuries in all three international formats: Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
Smriti Mandhana celebrates a remarkable feat.
This monumental achievement occurred during the first T20I match between India Women and England Women at Trent Bridge. Mandhana delivered a stunning performance, scoring 112 runs off just 62 balls.
Leading the team as captain, Mandhana's innings was characterized by 15 fours and three towering sixes. This aggressive and composed display propelled India to a formidable total of 210/5 in 20 overs, marking their highest-ever T20I score against England.
This century was also Mandhana's first in T20Is, making her the first Indian woman batter to complete this rare feat.
Her innings neutralized England’s top spinners, including Sophie Ecclestone, with fearless strokeplay.
Valuable contributions also came from Harleen Deol, who scored 43 runs off 23 balls, and Deepti Sharma, who added 7 not out off 3 balls, ensuring India maintained a strong run rate throughout the innings. Lauren Bell was the most successful of England’s bowlers, taking three wickets.
Mandhana's achievement places her among a select group of cricketers, both male and female, who have scored centuries across all three formats of the game. This milestone is a defining moment for her career and for Indian women’s cricket, inspiring a new generation of cricketers to dream big and overcome obstacles.
With this commanding performance, Smriti Mandhana has once again demonstrated why she is the face of Indian women’s cricket, embodying consistency, fearlessness, and a record-breaking spirit.
