Live broadcast of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Aarti
Doordarshan will telecast live the Mangala, Shringaar, Rajbhog, Sandhya, and Shayan Aartis offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram temple on DD National, connecting devotees who can't visit the temple.

Doordarshan, the national broadcaster, has announced that it will broadcast the morning prayers offered to the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya live every day. This is welcome news for Lord Ram devotees across the globe.

The announcement was made via a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. According to the post, the morning aarti offered to Ram Lalla will be telecast live on DD National every morning starting at 6:30 am.

The decision to broadcast the morning aarti live comes after the grand inauguration of the temple less than two months ago. Recognizing that not everyone can visit the temple in person, Doordarshan aims to connect devotees of Lord Ram through this broadcast. The Aarti will also be streamed simultaneously on DD’s YouTube channel.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has granted permission for the live telecast. Currently, the Trust lacks the logistical infrastructure for a live broadcast, so Doordarshan will deploy a small crew of two to three members to the temple premises to cover the daily ritual. Initially, DD will air the “Mangala aarti” for a few months, after which the Ram Temple Trust will reassess the situation and decide how to proceed.

Daily Aarti Schedule at Ayodhya Ram Temple

Six aartis are performed daily for Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya Ram temple:

  • Mangala Aarti: 4:30 am
  • Shringaar Aarti: 6:30 am
  • Rajbhog Aarti: 12 noon
  • Utthapan Aarti: 2 pm
  • Sandhya Aarti: 7 pm
  • Shayan Aarti: 10 pm

The temple trust has issued directions for devotees attending Aarti: Entry for Mangala Aarti (4:00 AM), Shringar Aarti (6:15 AM), and Shayan Aarti (10:00 PM) requires an entry pass. No entry passes are necessary for the other Aartis.

Advisory for Devotees

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra has also issued an advisory for devotees visiting the temple for darshan:

  • Darshan is open from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
  • The darshan process is designed to be simple and convenient, typically taking 60 to 75 minutes.
  • Devotees are advised to leave mobile phones, footwear, purses, and other personal items outside the Mandir premises for convenience and to save time.
  • Devotees are requested not to bring flowers, garlands, or Prasad to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
