New Zealand is set to host a series of high-profile international cricket matches in the upcoming 2025-26 season. The Black Caps will face off against Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies in a range of formats, promising a summer of thrilling cricket action for fans. Simultaneously, the White Ferns are preparing for a series of white-ball matches against South Africa and Zimbabwe.

The summer schedule begins with a three-match T20I series against Australia, starting on October 1st. Following this, England will tour for a series of three T20Is (beginning October 18th) and three ODIs (beginning October 26th).
The West Indies will then arrive for an extensive tour that includes five T20Is starting November 5th, followed by three ODIs commencing November 16th, and three Tests, with the first Test starting December 6th.
The White Ferns, fresh from the ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka, will have 14 white-ball games at home, beginning early next year.
Key Highlights for the White Ferns:
- First-ever series against Zimbabwe: A three-match T20I series starting February 25th, followed by a three-match ODI series (part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29) starting March 5th.
- Double-headers with South Africa: A five-match T20I series alongside the men's teams of both countries, running concurrently from March 15th to 25th.
- Additional T20Is against South Africa: Three more T20Is between March 29th and April 4th.
According to NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink, welcoming a diverse range of opponents is exciting. He highlighted the significance of hosting the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women. He emphasized that fans will have the opportunity to see top-tier cricket across all major centers, especially with the doubleheaders against South Africa, providing a unique day-out experience to watch the best female and male cricketers.
Pace bowler Kyle Jamieson expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, calling it a "marquee summer." He noted that the high level of competition will constantly test the team, which is exactly what cricketers want. He also mentioned the special feeling of playing in front of a home crowd and hoped that fans would come out in force to support them.
